Agenline

Documentation

agenline sits between your agents and the APIs they call. your agent gets a scoped key, you set the rules, agenline enforces them and logs every call.

we ship fast, so the docs and the product can drift. if something here doesn't match what you see, tell us at support@agenline.com and we'll fix it.

get started

  1. npm install -g agenline
  2. agen agent connect my-bot --key <your-real-api-key>
  3. agen policy create my-policy --target "api.example.com/v1/things" --method POST --rate 5
  4. agen policy attach my-policy --agent my-bot
  5. send your agent's calls to https://api.agenline.com/proxy/<scoped-key>/api.example.com/v1/things

the basics

agent: something that calls APIs for you. it gets its own scoped key.

policy: the rules an agent follows. limits, rates, allowed fields, expiry.

field: a capability like github or internet-access, set to blocked, read-only or read-write.

logs: every call is recorded, allowed or blocked. run: agen logs --agent my-bot

good to know

nothing is allowed unless a policy allows it. if two policies disagree, the stricter one wins.

send an Idempotency-Key header on anything irreversible, like refunds.

your real keys are stored encrypted and never reach the agent.
